About this Webinar
Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) presents significant restorative, functional, and psychosocial challenges, particularly in adolescent patients. This webinar explores the comprehensive treatment of a 13-year-old patient diagnosed with hypocalcified AI using a fully digital workflow and 3D-printed full-coverage restorations.
Attendees will learn how digital technologies—including intraoral scanning, CAD design, and chairside additive manufacturing—can be integrated to provide conservative, efficient, and highly esthetic treatment solutions for young patients with severe enamel defects.
Through a step-by-step review of diagnosis, treatment planning, digital design, restorative fabrication, and clinical delivery, participants will gain practical insights into managing complex developmental dental anomalies while preserving tooth structure, improving function, reducing hypersensitivity, and enhancing patient confidence and quality of life.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify the clinical and radiographic characteristics of amelogenesis imperfecta and differentiate among its major classifications.
- Evaluate treatment planning considerations for adolescent patients with AI, including functional, esthetic, and psychosocial factors.
- Implement a complete digital workflow utilizing intraoral scanning, CAD design, and 3D printing for full-mouth rehabilitation.
- Apply conservative restorative principles to preserve existing tooth structure while restoring function and esthetics in patients with developmental enamel defects.
- Assess the advantages and limitations of 3D-printed full-coverage restorations as a treatment option for growing patients with severe enamel deficiencies.
