Summary: This article shows an approach to harvesting connective tissue from the palate and using it as a graft for either a tooth or an implant.
Learning Objectives: After reading this article, the individual will be able to (1) know the difference between various types of soft-tissue grafting procedures, including some of the alternative surgical methods; (2) identify some of the indications for the various soft-tissue grafts; and (3) discuss with both patients and other clinicians how best to incorporate soft-tissue grafting into the comprehensive treatment plan.
